In 1886, J. Lancaster & Sons of Birmingham (England) began to manufacture what would become one of the best-selling cameras of the 19th century.

The Instantograph was so popular that several editions were released, and this beautiful wooden view camera was manufactured up until 1910, when the decline of wet plate photography led to it being discontinued.

We searched far and wide for a beautiful medium format camera to commemorate, and we settled on the 1893 edition of this camera, as it is one of the most intricate and detailed.
